Misty Thompson – Fundraising VP

Misty Thompson has been a public accountant for over 22 years. Working in the community came naturally to Misty since she grew up watching her parents serve others in her community. She is currently in her second active year with the Junior League. Joining the League gave her the opportunity to give back to the Savannah community in a direct and meaningful way.

Misty has previously been involved in other organizations and has had the opportunity to serve on the board of a residential rehabilitation facility for drug and alcohol addiction and has led financial literacy instruction for a group of private and charter schools. Besides being the Fundraising VP of the Junior League of Savannah, she is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at a local independent private school and the board of her homeowners’ association, and she teaches religion classes at her church.

When asked what her favorite quote is, she said, “‘A job worth doing is worth doing right.’ I have always believed that you should put everything you have into everything you do.”
