Jennifer Grafton – President

Jennifer Grafton is a business management consultant specializing in creating
organizational processes and accounting procedures for small businesses. She began
her work in the construction industry and over the past 20 years has also served clients
in property management, retail, manufacturing, professional services and the non-profit
sector. Her experience has provided the knowledge and skill needed to support JLS’s
desire for financial responsibility and sustainability.

Jennifer joined JLS in 2007 and is passionate about the voluntarism training that the
league provides its members. She seeks to work with community program leaders to
develop partnerships where JLS members can give their time and energy to their
program’s beneficiaries. Jennifer served as Community Vice President where she
worked closely with several regional organizations during the aftermath of Hurricane
Matthew in 2016. She has also volunteered with Georgia’s Special Olympics, Girls On
The Run, Habitat for Humanity and the Savannah Children’s Choir. Her hands-on time
as an advocate for children has compelled her to model a giving spirit for her own
daughter.

As a Savannah resident for the last 20 years, Jennifer and her husband Michael live in
midtown Savannah with their daughter Olivia and 3 pups. She enjoys spending time on
the water boating and swimming. She is also a member of Seeds and Weeds Garden
Club and enjoys entertaining, event planning, gardening and sewing.

Jennifer credits her grandparents with instilling in her the value of giving with an open
heart and mind. In her own words: “I have learned the reality of a lesson my grandfather began teaching me when I was in college. Always consider the position, frame of mind, or situation of others. I believe this applies to committee members, leadership, and especially project stakeholders in our community. Their perspectives must always be given priority and consideration.”
