Misty Thompson – Finance Vice President

Misty Thompson has enjoyed a career in public accounting for more than 23 years. Working in the community comes naturally to Misty as she grew up watching her parents serve others in her community. She is currently in her fourth active year with the Junior League. Joining the League gave her the opportunity to give back to the Savannah community in a direct and meaningful way.

Misty has previously been involved in other organizations, including serving on the board of a residential rehabilitation facility for drug and alcohol addiction, and has led financial literacy instruction for private and charter schools. Besides being the Finance VP of the Junior League of Savannah, she is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at a local independent private school and the board of her homeowners’ association, and she teaches religion classes at her church.

When asked what her favorite quote is, she said, “‘A job worth doing is worth doing right.’ I have always believed that you should put everything you have into everything you do.”
